The days of waiting for the One is coming to an end for sure. Indian fans have been trying to get their hand on the Oneplus and we know the pain of getting the Oneplus One sitting in a non-launch country. We also know that the Oneplus is coming to India, but we were not sure about the logistics and the distribution system. The Oneplus may still be available through an Invite system when it comes to India, but Amazon today published a teaser image on their site with an Oneplus one like looking mobile.
It is not clear at this moment, if we would be able to buy an Oneplus One right away from Amazon or we would still need an invite code to be eligble for purchase. Please stay tuned for more updates.
If there is one thing the the Oneplus one mobile is being widely criticized for, that would be the Invite system. Well, the wait is over. Now you will be able to get your hands on the flagship killer without an invite. You don’t have to be asking around in forums or buying invites off shady ebay sellers, anymore. You can now pre-order your oneplus one on October 27 at 15:00 GMT (20:30 IST) for one hour only. The window is small, but you can prepare your pre-order now including adding accessories to the cart and filling in the shipping details and hopefully at the appointed time you will be able to place the pre-order.

Speaking of accessories, we have a few surprises here. Apart from the regular flip case, clear case, snapon case, screen-guard we now have HD screen-guard in matte and clear finish listed in the pre-order page. Also there is tampered glass screen protection which is listed for $11. The JBL E1+ and the Piston earphones, which have been listed as “coming soon” so far will also be available to order along with your mobile on those days.
A maximum of 2, can be ordered for item. Yes, you can pre-order 2 oneplus one, and p.j. that doesn’t make is oneplus two.
While I was unboxing the Oneplus One, I was pretty excited and for a moment I completely forgot that the box was missing the earphones. Now it has become quite normal for mobile manufacturers to ship devices without earphones in them. This trend was started by Moto G. The idea behind this is pretty simple. The device by itself is priced competitively. Now if they have to include headphones, they are going to be real cheap. Cheap earphones mean cheap audio experience. But the device by itself is a great device and it would be logical to have a great earphone along with it. So some manufacturers like Motorola, Xiaomi and now the Oneplus decided not to include any kind of earphones along with the device. People can buy their own preferred earphones or use the ones that usually lie around in the house. Xiaomi and Oneplus sell their earphones separately. I own a pair of the Xiaomi Mi Pistons earphone along with my Oneplus and it is absolutely marvelous.
Oneplus recently announced two earphone models as accessories that will be sold separately, but will completely the looks and experience of its flagship model, or rather the flagship killer model, the Oneplus +1.
OnePlus Silver Bullet Earphones, priced at 15$, looks very similar to the Mi Pistons. Oneplus also partnered with JBL and announced the launch of JBL E1+ Earphones in their accessories line up. Though the JBL E1+ is an exclusive design for the Oneplus, it has a lot of resemblance with the JBL Syncros E10 in-ear headphones. The JBL E1+ may look a bit pricy with its 40$ price tag, but that is one of the ways the company is exploring for making money.
We will not sell accessories at cost, and will keep a reasonable margin on them. If a customer buys accessories together with our device, we can earn a few dollars. – Carl Pei, Director, Oneplus.
I have not tested either of these headphones, but I do have a good feeling about them. Do check them out.
Though the Oneplus One is a beast of a mobile, it definitely comes with a host of firmware related issues. Oneplus has been consistently fixing the bugs and here is the latest update. This update offers a lot of improvement and bug fixes for the Cyanogen mod 11s on oneplus one.
The new firmware update CM 11S 38R mainly targets the touchscreen responsiveness issue. It also brings in new lock screen design along with RAW photo format support for the camera. It also brings in enhanced audio capabilities. The Oneplus One will now let you play 24 bit, 96/192khz—flac/alac/wav files without resampling.
