Cyanogen OS 12 coming soon to your Oneplus One

Here is some good news to start the weekend with. The much awaited Cyanogen OS 12 update for Oneplus One has passed certification and will come as OTA update to your Oneplus One handset in the next few days. The promised deadline was March 30 and the Oneplus fans are getting impatient. For those who don’t know, the Cyanogen OS 12 is built on top of Android Lollipop 5.1 which is the latest version. Recently Oneplus One releases its own custom ROM for Oneplus One owners, the Oxygen OS. Which it was an exciting release, users generally weren’t happy and a few of them have already moved back to stock Cyanogen 11, expecting an OTA for Cyanogen 12. If you still have the Oxygen OS, then you won’t get the OTA update, but you will have to manually flash it. If you are on Cyanogen 11, you will get an OTA update notification soon.

We don’t have an exact date for now, but it will be some time early next week. Here is the tweet from Carl Pei, announcing the update.
