Google Nexus 5 – Unboxing
Google Nexus 5 is the 5th phone in the Nexus series marketed by Google and build by a partner OEM. Like the Nexus 4, the Nexus 5 is also built by LG. The Mobile was released on October 31, 2013 internationally and was available in 16 GB and 32 GB versions, both in Black and White color. It is the first device to feature the KitKat Android version 4.4. Unlike the Nexus 4, the Nexus 5 was made available in India on November 20th, within weeks of its international availability. I ordered it on November 20th and it was delivered to me on 23rd. I ordered the 32 GB Black model. Here is a video of me unboxing my new Nexus 5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xLRA-R9x14 The Nexus 5 is made of soft touch polycarbonate plastic material. It is powered by a 2.26 GHz quad-core snapdragon 800 processor with 2 GB of RAM. It ha sa 4.95 inch Full HD IPS display. It has multicolor LED for notification and at the bottom, though it has 2 speaker grills, it only one speaker and the other grill is for mic. There are 2 new sensors in the Nexus 5, for step detection and step counting. It runs on Android 4.4 “KitKat”. The camera is 8 MP camera and has a new HD+ camera shooting mode. The device also features a new launcher called the Experience Launcher which allows voice activated search. I will review both the Hardware and the Software, in-depth in the upcoming posts/videos. P.S: Nokia Lumia 1020 is still my primary mobile. I got the Nexus 5 for a family friend. After a full review, I will pass it on to her.
